This strawberry banana hair mask is perfect for dry frizzy hair and it smells really really good. I left it on for about 15 minutes, then rinsed it out. My hair felt soft and smooth after blow drying.

Yummy Mummy is a pretty medium beige polish that can be worn all year round.

Every year around this time, Peter Thomas Roth has an amazing sale on travel size products. Blockbuster and deeply discounted prices on so many great items, it's hard to pass them up. There is a maximum limit of 6 per product and I make sure I stock up!

This year I ordered the Un-Wrinkle eye cream, Laser-Free Regenerator moisturizing gel cream and Laser-Free Resurfacer face serum.

As the name suggests, this eye cream reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles leaving your skin firmer and smoother. 

Laser-Free Regenerator moisturizing gel cream - Sale $5 for 0.50 oz (full size $68 for 1.0 oz)

My skin really loves a gel cream moisturizer especially one that diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This moisturizer improves your skin's texture while firming and brightening for an overall radiant look.  

Laser-Free Resurfacer face serum - Sale $7 for 0.50 oz (full size $75 for 1.0 oz)

It's an odd feeling when you read the description and you see "Dragon's Blood" in it. Since I already have the Laser-Free Resurfacer eye serum (which I stocked up on at the last sale), I didn't hesitate to purchase this. Like the other products in this line, it helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while evening out your skin tone.

As an added bonus there was a deluxe sample of the Cucumber Gel Mask along with 3 foil samples of the 24K Gold Lift & Firm Prism Cream, Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel and Oilless Oil 100% Purified Squalane.

July & August Empties - 2016

I really didn't use a lot of foils or deluxe samples in July, so I vowed to step it up in August. Some were staple items and some I tried for the first time. Aside from the Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil shampoo and conditioner, I loved everything.

Kirkland Signature Daily Facial Towelettes - Retail price $11.99 for 150 count

Included in this box are 4 - 30 count flip top recloseable lid packs and 2 - 15 count resealable travel packs. I absolutely love these makeup wipes from Costco. I use them every night to remove my makeup although I still pour a little makeup remover on them just to help remove my waterproof mascara with ease. I do not like tugging on my eyes and lashes if I don't have to.

Ulta Exfoliating Round Cotton Pads - Retail Price $3.49 for 80 pads

These round pads have 2 different surfaces, a soft side and exfoliating side. Both are great for removing eye and face makeup. I like to use these with cleansing water after removing my makeup with a wipe. I do not use the exfoliating side on my eyes, but its great on the face and around the nose.

For the longest time, I only used loose powder to set my makeup. That was until this pressed powder came into my life. It minimizes the appearance of pores leaving my skin with a soft focus matte finish. My foundation lasts all day without the need for a touch up.



YourMinerals Transparent Veil Setting Powder - Retail Price $29 for 0.25 oz

Transparent Veil is a transparent setting powder that settles like a soft transparent veil over skin. The ultralight silk texture gives a nice smooth surface by minimizing fine lines and pores. The skin is kept matte and will help your makeup last longer. Apply over your foundation for a flawless finish. I found this powder to be extremely powdery almost to the point of choking on it.

Algenist Algae Brightening Mask - Retail Price $62 for 2.0 oz

Pamper your skin with this hydrating green algae mask and your face will be bright, smooth, radiant and even toned. It is a thick clay mask with gritty particles that exfoliates and tightens your skin. It is lightly scented and did not dry out my face.

Tatcha Indigo Smoothing Triple Recovery Cream - Retail Price $135 for 1.7 oz

I love the purple packaging and the color of the moisturizer. This luxurious cream is rich in anti-inflammatory indigo and moisturizing liquid silk to soothe and firm skin, calming and restoring youthful beauty. It is a little pricey but I am happy that I have a bunch of deluxe samples of this moisturizer so I can continue to use it.

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub Almond & Honey - Retail Price $7 for 18 oz

Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil shampoo $31 for 8.5 oz and conditioner $34 for 6.7 oz 

It is a sulfate free shampoo that hydrates dry, coarse and brittle hair. It is infused with oils that makes hair softer, smoother and silkier while taming frizziness. Personally,  I did not like this shampoo mostly because I prefer one that gives a nice lather. The conditioner was okay and it is safe for color treated hair,
