Every year around this time, Peter Thomas Roth has an amazing sale on travel size products. Blockbuster and deeply discounted prices on so many great items, it's hard to pass them up. There is a maximum limit of 6 per product and I make sure I stock up!

As the name suggests, this eye cream reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles leaving your skin firmer and smoother. 

Laser-Free Regenerator moisturizing gel cream - Sale $5 for 0.50 oz (full size $68 for 1.0 oz)

My skin really loves a gel cream moisturizer especially one that diminishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This moisturizer improves your skin's texture while firming and brightening for an overall radiant look.  

Laser-Free Resurfacer face serum - Sale $7 for 0.50 oz (full size $75 for 1.0 oz)

It's an odd feeling when you read the description and you see "Dragon's Blood" in it. Since I already have the Laser-Free Resurfacer eye serum (which I stocked up on at the last sale), I didn't hesitate to purchase this. Like the other products in this line, it helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while evening out your skin tone.

As an added bonus there was a deluxe sample of the Cucumber Gel Mask along with 3 foil samples of the 24K Gold Lift & Firm Prism Cream, Anti-Aging Cleansing Gel and Oilless Oil 100% Purified Squalane.

July & August Empties - 2016

I really didn't use a lot of foils or deluxe samples in July, so I vowed to step it up in August. Some were staple items and some I tried for the first time. Aside from the Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil shampoo and conditioner, I loved everything.

Included in this box are 4 - 30 count flip top recloseable lid packs and 2 - 15 count resealable travel packs. I absolutely love these makeup wipes from Costco. I use them every night to remove my makeup although I still pour a little makeup remover on them just to help remove my waterproof mascara with ease. I do not like tugging on my eyes and lashes if I don't have to.

These round pads have 2 different surfaces, a soft side and exfoliating side. Both are great for removing eye and face makeup. I like to use these with cleansing water after removing my makeup with a wipe. I do not use the exfoliating side on my eyes, but its great on the face and around the nose.

For the longest time, I only used loose powder to set my makeup. That was until this pressed powder came into my life. It minimizes the appearance of pores leaving my skin with a soft focus matte finish. My foundation lasts all day without the need for a touch up.



YourMinerals Transparent Veil Setting Powder - Retail Price $29 for 0.25 oz

Transparent Veil is a transparent setting powder that settles like a soft transparent veil over skin. The ultralight silk texture gives a nice smooth surface by minimizing fine lines and pores. The skin is kept matte and will help your makeup last longer. Apply over your foundation for a flawless finish. I found this powder to be extremely powdery almost to the point of choking on it.

Algenist Algae Brightening Mask - Retail Price $62 for 2.0 oz

Pamper your skin with this hydrating green algae mask and your face will be bright, smooth, radiant and even toned. It is a thick clay mask with gritty particles that exfoliates and tightens your skin. It is lightly scented and did not dry out my face.

Tatcha Indigo Smoothing Triple Recovery Cream - Retail Price $135 for 1.7 oz

I love the purple packaging and the color of the moisturizer. This luxurious cream is rich in anti-inflammatory indigo and moisturizing liquid silk to soothe and firm skin, calming and restoring youthful beauty. It is a little pricey but I am happy that I have a bunch of deluxe samples of this moisturizer so I can continue to use it.

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub Almond & Honey - Retail Price $7 for 18 oz

It is a sulfate free shampoo that hydrates dry, coarse and brittle hair. It is infused with oils that makes hair softer, smoother and silkier while taming frizziness. Personally,  I did not like this shampoo mostly because I prefer one that gives a nice lather. The conditioner was okay and it is safe for color treated hair,

It's that time again! Another month has passed and I am happy to report that I continue to use more and more products in my beauty stash.

Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Firming/Sculpting Face & Neck Creme - $100 for 2.5 oz

This face and neck cream is ideal for normal to combination skin and contains Broad Spectrum SPF 15. If you are looking for a youthful, lifted, sculpted and firmer look - you may want to try this moisturizer. Skin looks radiant and it is said to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles after continuous use.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara - $23 for 0.27 oz

This is by far my holy grail mascara. Even if I use a different mascara in my stash, I always have to finish my lashes off with this Too Faced mascara, An intensely black, volumizing mascara with an hourglass-shaped brush that separates, coats, and curls each lash to voluptuous perfection. Inspired by the curves of a woman’s body, the hourglass-shaped brush was designed with extra stiff bristles to maximize the performance of this carbon black, collagen-fueled formula. This makeup primer helps create a flawless canvas alone or under your foundation for a bright and fresh look that lasts all day. Vitamins A & C, Mulberry Extract and a powerful dose of Retinol virtually banish pores while tired skin is left hydrated, firmer, and detoxified. As I mentioned in previous blogs, this has been is my holy grail face primer for some time.

Benefit Cosmetics POREfessional Face Primer - $31 for 0.75 oz

Since I have so many face primers in my beauty stash, I decided to give some of them a good honest try. First up was this primer from Benefit Cosmetics. To me, it is very similar to my HG primer from Too Faced. It's silky and lightweight formula minimizes the appearance of pores and fine lines and creates a smooth canvas for your makeup application.

First and foremost I must say this mask smells divine. I love to apply it at night (do not rinse it off) and wake up with hydrated silky smooth skin. It moisturizes, restores, replenishes, and calms the skin. Give yourself an energized and glowing complexion with this mask.

Erborian Pate au Ginseng Black Concentrated Mask - $61 for 1.7 oz

A syrup-like black mask enriched with six-year old red ginseng to help fight visible signs of aging for skin that feels firmer and smoother. This mask helps skin to appear smoother and feel more elastic.
